how God took my biggest insecurity & turned it into something beautiful

November 28, 2019

I hid my insecurities my whole adolescence because I was afraid what other people would think or call me behind my back. never talked about. covered my wrists with sweaters every day—even in the heat of florida summers. I have yet to fully embrace them, but I’ve come so far. using this space as a place to openly share about my story has made me bold. it’s brought what was wallowing in darkness to glorious light.

to the one who hides behind your clothing—covering up something you don’t like about yourself, you are clothed with strength and dignity in Jesus’ name (proverbs 31:29) your body was made by the same being who breathes stars and paints skies. you are beautiful. fearfully & wonderfully made (psalm 139:14)

to the one who struggles inwardly, with thoughts of anxiety, resentment, and overwhelm—come to Him all who are weary and He will give you rest (matthew 11:28) cast your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 peter 5:7) Be blessed to be a blessing with what He has given you.

we all walk through treacherous valleys in life. we all have moments of pure mountain top bliss. before you compare your valley to her mountain top (or what merely looks like one from the tiny squares of her highlight reel) remember that YOU were made for a unique purpose with a story hand made just for you to be used for HIS glory.

be blessed today friends 💛
